In mid 1969, Michael
Kac parted ways with Mandrake Memorial to go on another
path with
classical guitarist, Linda Cohen. They were managed for a short
time by
Manny Rubin, owner of the 2nd Fret coffee house & manager of
the
Philly band, Mandrake Memorial.
The duo of Kac & Cohen
played such venues as: the Electric Factory, 2nd Fret
(debut), Main
Point, Philadelphia Folk Festival & as a headliner in
Pennypack
Park with the opening act of a shy Bonnie Raitt, whom they gave
much
support to & the rest is 'history' for Bonnie.
